Mark McArthur
Mark has gained 35 years experience in Sales and Marketing of which the past 30 years have been within the Asset Finance sector. Much of this experience has been attained with major financial institutions and subsidiary asset finance divisions, having started with Bank of Scotland in 1988. Subsequent sales positions were held with Royscot, Lloyds Bowmaker and GE Capital, and Mark formed independent finance brokerage, Asset & General Finance Ltd in 2003. Mark is a keen golfer and an avid sports fan, watching in particular, football (St Johnstone), rugby and tennis.
Gordon Larson
Gordon started a career in financial services after graduating from University of Strathclyde with an Honours degree in Finance and went on to work with major US and European investment banks, including JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas, primarily in the investment fund world as an accountant for hedge funds. Following a number of years rising through the ranks of various major banks, Gordon decided to change direction and moved into asset finance in 2018, and became a director at Asset & General Finance in 2022. Outside of the workplace, Gordon is an obsessive cyclist and competes in various formats of bike racing.
Willie Monks
Willie started in Asset Finance with a subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland and managed a number of branch offices before becoming a Broker in 1990. Curling in winter and golf in summer, together with a commitment to Rotary International, takes up all of his spare time. He does admit to being a supporter of Motherwell F.C.! Golf clubs across Scotland make up a substantial proportion of his client portfolio. Willie provides support to ground care machinery suppliers, tailoring finance packages for each golf club’s machinery needs and budgets.
Kenny Maxwell
Kenny joined the Asset & General Finance team in November 2018. He has over 30 years of experience in the Asset Finance market, the last 15 years specialising in the funding of commercial vehicles and trailers via HP, finance lease, operating lease and contract hire. He brings a wealth of knowledge in this area for the benefit of our customers. A busy family man with 5 children and 2 grand-children, Kenny tries to find time to keep-fit and enjoy the occasional round of golf.
Angus McIntosh
Angus joined Asset and General as an Associate in July 2020, having been in the Commercial Vehicle Industry since 1993. He has always been involved in the funding of Commercial vehicles and gained Asset Finance experience working closely with the manufactures finance divisions.
Working with Asset and General Finance has now given him the opportunity to offer his existing and new customers a wide range of flexible funding options, understanding their requirements, offering them the best possible deal with competitive rates and he enjoys working closely with them to provide them the best method of funding with the best rates available for their business.
Away from work Angus enjoys Golf (mainly watching now!), Skiing, Cycling, Walking, and holidays.

Charlie Wilson
Charlie started his career in the Agricultural sector having graduated from SAC Edinburgh, he has spent many years at the coal face of the industry and ran his own contracting business covering the Agri and groundworks sectors, he has worked on the sales side with some of the leading suppliers in the industry, he then took a role with a UK commercial funder before becoming an independent broker in recent years.
Key areas of expertise lie in the Agriculture, Construction and Commercial Vehicle sectors. Out with work Charlie still has a farm where he lives and this along with his wife & daughter keeps him very busy (he calls it his switch off) and if there is any time spare beyond that then Golf or skiing would be his chosen sports. He will not turn down a game of golf
